MANILA, Philippines --- Malacaang has declared Friday, June 24, as a special non-working holiday in Manila for the celebration of its 451st founding anniversary. "It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to the public health measures of the national government," Proclamation No. 1400, which was signed Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, said Manila.
