Meth worth P144 million seized from South African courier

MANILA, Philippines --- A shipment of suspected crystal meth or shabu weighing more than 21 kilograms with an estimated value of P144.3 million was seized from an alleged South African courier at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Friday, the Bureau of Customs said in a statement on Saturday. Customs agents, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), monitored the unidentified man's travels from South Africa and Qatar until his arrival at NAIA.
