Tri SND rules team event in Ironman 70.3

DAVAO CITY---Tri SND Barracuda compiled a 45:16:43 finish to rule Alveo Ironman 70.3 Davao's Tribu Maisugon at Azuela Cove on Sunday. Composed of mostly racers from Lanao, the fancied crew beat out four more squads to rule the team competition and bag a P550,000 cash prize and bespoke trophies made by Mindanaoan artist Kublai Millan. Kenneth Bonda turned in the quickest finish at 3:59:09. Crowd darling and Palawan IM 70.3 winner John Alcala was just five ticks behind his teammate. Bonda finished first in the men's 18-22, while Alcala was 5th in the men's 30-34. Jailani Lamama clocked four 4:01:21 to best teammates Abdul Rahman Toroganan and Mohammad Hanin Maruhom and win ...
