MANILA, Philippines---Harold Alarcon starred for University of the Philippines' win in its all-UAAP affair with National University, 72-65, in the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup at San Juan Arena on Saturday. Alarcon finished with 16 points for the Fighting Maroons, seven in the fourth quarter, to give UP a 5-2 record in the preseason. "I think he's been taking shots he's been working on. The timing and getting of his shots, I think is a huge improvement," coach Goldwin Monteverde said.
