MANILA, Philippines --- The nationwide COVID-19 positivity rate further decreased to 17.8% on Monday, from the day before's 18.1 %, said Octra Research fellow Dr. Guido David. The rate reflected the Department of Health's (DOH) daily COVID-19 tally where it registered 1,104 new infections, 324 of which were logged in Metro Manila. "Projecting 600 to 700 new cases on June 6, 2023," David said in a Twitter post. Based on the DOH's online COVID-19 Tracker, the country's total caseload is now at 4,149,505 with 13,243 active cases, 4,069,783 recoveries, and 66,476 deaths.
