MANILA, Philippines---College of St. Benilde stood its ground and snapped Mapua's winning streak, 65-61, in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament at San Juan Arena on Wednesday. The Cardinals' streak ended at six to put their record at 8-2 but they still lead the league ahead of second seed San Beda (7-2). The Blazers, meanwhile, improved to 6-4 as Miggy Corteza led the way with a near double-double of 17 points and nine rebounds. Clint Escamis scored a game-high 19 markers to go along with five boards and three assists but to no avail.
