243 defective VCMs recorded in Calabarzon

LUCENA CITY, Philippines---The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region recorded a total of 243 defective vote-counting machines (VCMs) on election day. Police Maj. Mary Anne Crester Torres, Police Regional Office 4A -- public information office chief, said in an online interview Monday at 7 p.m. that Batangas province topped the list with 91 malfunctioning VMCs, followed by Laguna with 61; Cavite, 33; Quezon, 31; and Rizal, 27.
