PH logs 1,554 new COVID-19 infections, 25,004 active cases

MANILA, Philippines --- The Department of Health (DOH) reported an additional 1,554 COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, with active infections dropping to 25,004. This brought the total COVID-19 caseload to 3,971,455, with 3,883,112 recoveries and 63,329 deaths, as shown on the DOH's COVID-19 Tracker. These new cases are lower than the 2,048 recorded daily average infections from Oct. 3 to 9, as well as the 2,106 infections recorded on Monday. Metro Manila continues to lead the list of regions with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks with 11,347, followed by Calabarzon with 5,307 and Central Luzon with 2,712.
