MANILA, Philippines --- President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed a new acting presidential adviser on peace reconciliation and unity (OPAPRU). Malacaang press briefer Daphne Osea-Paez on Tuesday announced that Isidro Purisima had been appointed as the acting presidential adviser on peace. Purisima replaces Carlito Galvez Jr., who Marcos appointed as the new secretary of the Department of National Defense. Prior to his new appointment, Purisima was the presidential assistant for local conflict transformation and peace sustainability under OPAPRU.
