Heavy rainfall alert in parts of Luzon due to Goring — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines --- A heavy rainfall alert has been raised in some provinces of Luzon due to the effects of Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday. According to its afternoon heavy rainfall update, Pagasa said some provinces within the region were placed under a "yellow" warning, which means flooding may occur, especially in low-lying areas.
