‘Unacceptable’: Alarm sounded on 782 maritime mishaps in last 5 years

    MANILA, Philippines --- Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva expressed concern over the alarming number of maritime accidents in the country. Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) Administrator Hernani Fabia, in a Senate hearing on the proposed 2024 budget of the Department of Transportation on Tuesday bared that a total of 782 maritime accidents were recorded in the country from 2018 to 2022.
