MANILA, Philippines - Severe Tropical Storm Jenny (international name: Koinu) has intensified Sunday afternoon while swirling towards Northern Luzon, which prompted the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) to raise Tropical cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over Batanes.
